ALISON DOUGLAS

Sports have always been in Alison’s DNA. She played ice hockey at Middlebury College, where she won three NCAA DIII titles, and even picked up golf for a semester. Before college, she was a multi-sport athlete, competing in tennis and soccer, running a marathon, and now pushing toward the CrossFit Games in August in the 40–44 division.
Growing up on a farm in Vermont with three brothers, hard work was never optional — it was a way of life. Summers were spent competing in horse shows, winters on the ski slopes, until hockey took over. That upbringing built a relentless work ethic. Alison never believed in being “the best,” but she’s always believed in working the hardest. Showing up, staying committed, following through — those habits forged her character, created progress, and built unshakable confidence.
For Alison, achievement isn’t something to chase occasionally; it’s part of who she is. Sitting still has never been an option. Training provides daily fulfillment, joy, and the addictive feeling of accomplishment after every session. It’s a lifestyle of consistency, discipline, and drive.
Representing Hard Work Athletics fuels her even more. Just knowing she’s repping HWA pushes her to dig deeper in training — to silence doubt, stay positive, and embrace mental toughness. Hard Work Athletics is more than apparel; it’s a mindset. It demands your best effort, every single day.
Family and environment shaped much of Alison’s journey. Her father and brothers set the tone with their own athletic and professional success, while her parents gave endless support — driving to practices, camps, and lessons. Today, her husband Greg embodies that same work ethic and passion for the grind, inspiring her daily.
Beyond physical training, Alison knows the power of the mind. With a life coaching certification, she’s worked with teenage athletes on building mental strength — learning to stay present, manage stress, and perform at their peak. She applies the same principles in her own life, immersing herself in self-development and surrounding herself with messages of leadership, toughness, and growth.
Mental toughness isn’t easy, but it’s essential. And for Alison, the path to confidence and strength — in sport and in life — has always been paved with one thing: hard work.
